It used to be that naturally sweetened protein powders were few and far between. However, GNC is apparently bringing naturally sweetened protein to the mainstream with the launch of their new Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60. What’s more, it appears they’ve added a few extra ingredients to make this an overall muscle building and recovery protein. The All-Important Protein Matrix With the abundance of whey protein supplements to choose from these days, a poor protein matrix can make or break a supplement. But you’re actually going to get a quality protein blend in Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60. This has your whey protein isolate and hydrolysate, which have been stripped of their fat and lactose. This leaves you a whey protein that’s about 90% protein by volume, and is very lean. Each serving is going to give you 20 g for protein, and only has 1 g of fat and 1 g of sugar. Leucine Carnitine Combo The leucine and carnitine in here are a pretty formidable ingredient combination. Leucine increases protein synthesis, which drives amino acids into muscles cells and enhances both muscle growth and recovery. Carntine transports fat to the mitochondria of cells where it is burned as fuel. Leucine further promotes growth and recovery by helping to increase growth hormone levels. Paired with carnitine, Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 improves body composition by increasing lean mass and reducing body fat. Mixability, Taste, and Price This mixed really well for me in a shaker cup. That’s pretty much what I expected though, as whey protein isolates are notorious for mixing well. Amplified Wheybolic Extreme tastes surprisingly good as a naturally sweetened protein powder. I had the natural chocolate flavor, and thought it tasted as good as your average chocolate whey protein powder. The All Natural Whey I would definitely recommend Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 if you’re looking for a naturally sweetened whey protein. It’s really low in calories, and has several ingredients to help increase muscle, decrease body fat, and improve recovery.
