Gifted Nutrition S3 Testosterone Booster Reviews Brian E. July 25, 2014 Reviews, Testosterone Supplements Reviews Ingredients6.8 Effectiveness7 Value7ProsContains tongkat ali and horny goat weed which are supported by research to help boost natural testosterone levelsConsUses proprietary blend instead of specific ingredient dosagesExpensive 6.9Overall Score Since no supplement line is complete without a natural testosterone booster, I wasn’t surprised when Phil Heath announced that the S3 Testosterone Booster would be one of the first four products launched in his new Gifted Nutrition line. Considering supplements are designed to help foster muscle growth, having a supplement that naturally increases testosterone is one of the best ways to increase lean muscle. But is the S3 Testosterone Booster effective? To save you the trial and error, here’s everything you need to know. S3 Testosterone Booster Testosterone Boosting Ingredients You can check out S3’s ingredient label here on the right. There are at least two ingredients that I was glad to see in here ─ horny goat weed and tongkat ali. Horny Goat Weed: Horny goat weed, also known as epimedium, has an active ingredient called icariin which has the ability to increase testosterone levels and improve libido. What’s more, research shows icariin can act as a PDE5 inhibitor like Viagra, enhancing the secondary messenger cGMP for better nitric oxide production and blood flow to the corpus cavernosum of the penis.[1] Tongkat Ali: At least one study with human subjects showed tongkat ali was effect for increasing libido and testosterone levels in individuals with late-onset hypogonadism.[2] What’s more, S3 Testosterone Booster also contains a compound called saw palmetto which helps with libido. A recent study with saw palmetto showed it has the ability to improve symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia and sexual dysfunction.[3] While there is research to suggest nettle root can boost free testosterone levels[4], there’s little to no research supporting the effectiveness of wild yam root, sarsaparilla root extract or orchic substance. Additionally, this is a proprietary blend, so it’s impossible to say whether the ingredients are dosed effectively. What I Noticed Taking S3 Testosterone Booster I took S3 Testosterone Booster per the directions, buts honestly didn’t notice a huge boost in strength or libido. That being said, the effectiveness of a natural testosterone booster is highly subjective, and dependent on a wide range of variables including one’s own basic physiology. What’s more, individual levels of testosterone vary widely. For example, someone with low testosterone levels will notice a significant difference taking a natural testosterone booster, whereas someone with normal testosterone levels probably isn’t going to notice much of a difference. S3 Testosterone Booster Price and Availability S3 Testosterone Booster is available at the official Gifted Nutrition website, and a handful of other online retailers. Unfortunately, the price right now appears to be a firm $59.99 for a 30 day supply across all websites. S3 Testosterone Booster Final Summary I’m honestly disappointed with the entire Gifted Nutrition series as a whole. I think Phil Heath really dropped the ball on this one and has a lot of work to do for this brand to be successful. S3 Testosterone Booster might be worth a shot if it goes on sale, but it’s hard to justify the price with these ingredients. References: [1] Tambi MI, Imran MK, Henkel RR.
