FitStrong Supplements released a creatine supplement to their line called FitStrong Creatine HCL.

With millions of creatine supplements available, I wanted to see if this creatine powder was both unique and effective.

What’s Up With Creatine HCL

FitStrong Creatine HCL features one ingredient.  You guessed it, creatine hcl. Creatine HCL is short for creatine hydrochloride, when a creatine molecule is bound to hydrochloric acid moiety.

Creatine HCL isn’t as studied and researched as much as the more popular form creatine monohydrate. Consequently, there are a lot of unsupported claims surrounding creatine hcl.

First off, creatine HCL is said to be able to provide creaitne’s benefits in smaller doses compared to creatine monohydrate. This, however, hasn’t been clinically confirmed.

Also, there isn’t a lot of clinical research supporting creatine hcl’s effects on ATP regeneration and muscle function.

In theory, creatine hcl is said to work, but the fact that there aren’t any strong studied supporting its benefits at all is something that leaves me a bit unsettled.

It’s more popular counterpart creatine monohydrate has been shown to improve ATP regeneration, consequently enhancing energy and power output.

Whether this is the same for creatine hcl, I’m not exactly sure.

How Should You Use FitStrong Creatine HCL?

Creatine HCL by FitStrong Supplements can be taken at any time during the day. The most important thing is to be consistent with your creatine supplementation.

FitStrong Creatine HCL is unflavored, which means you can take it with your favorite liquid. This is nice because you can change up the flavor by using different liquids-you aren’t stuck with just one flavor, as you would be with a flavored creatine.

Should You Try It?

FitStrong Creatine HCL may work for you, much like creatine monohydrate does for many individuals. One bottle retails for $55. If you do decide to supplement with any creatine hcl, make sure to supplement with it for an extended period of time to give the ingredients a chance to saturate in your body to produce benefits.

Have you tried FitStrong Creatine HCL or any creatine hcl supplement? I’d love to hear about your experience. Leave a comment below!
