BlackMarket has a brand-new amino line for athletes both bulking and cutting, aptly named Amino Bulk and Amino Cuts.

I’ve seen a lot of amino acid products, so I was excited to see a new focus for these supplements.

I’m currently trying to put on pounds to reach a higher weight class, so Amino Bulk was especially appealing. I decided to take a closer look to see if it’s worth the time and money.

What Makes It Special?

Most amino acid supplements contain, well, amino acids and not much else. Amino Bulk is designed to support increased muscle growth beyond that given by plain amino acids.

BCAAs – 6 grams

Branched-chain amino acids are the most important compounds for muscle growth. In fact, leucine, the main BCAA, is the only amino acid that can initiate protein synthesis. [1]

HICA

Alfa-Hydroxy-isocaproic acid (HICA) is used to prevent catabolism, or muscle breakdown. It has been shown to reduce delayed-onset muscle soreness and protect muscles. [2]

D-Aspartic Acid

D-aspartic acid (DAA) is a natural compound used to increase testosterone, a hormone that boosts muscle-growth potential. [3]

Creatine Monohydrate

Creatine monohydrate is probably the most studied and used supplement for muscle growth. It works by improving ATP (energy) production during exercise and reducing pain following workouts. [4]

Beta Anhydrous

Beta anhydrous is the dehydrated form of the natural compound betaine and is used to increase athletic performance. [5]

Is It Effective?

The ingredients in BlackMarket amino bulk are backed by scientific research and will be effective in the right doses.

Unfortunately, because we don’t have a complete nutritional list, I can’t say for sure it the ingredients are included in effective amounts.

Because it’s marketed as a high-quality supplement, I imagine Amino Bulk will deliver effective amounts, but we just don’t know yet.

Is It Expensive?

Amino Bulk isn’t cheap. BlackMarket lists it for $59.99. The high price makes me wary to purchase it, but brand-new supplements are notorious for being expensive when they’re released.

We’ll see better prices and deals after the wide release when third-party retailers can offer Amino Bulk.

Should I Buy It?

While I really like Amino Bulk, the high price is kind of a turn-off. I would wait until it’s available for a better deal before buying it.

I’ll have a complete review, including taste and ingredient doses, as soon as more information is available. Check back soon!
