An often overlooked aspect of supplementation is ensuring that your body has the right electrolytes and minerals to stay hydrated and prevent cramping. Most electrolyte complexes are thrown in a pre-workout or intra-workout supplement almost as an afterthought.

Intralyte from Proccor, however, is one of the few pure electrolyte supplements that I’ve come across.

Krebs Cycle Support

Proccor Intralyte

Intralyte provides 1.5 g of citric acid per serving. Citric acid is a Krebs cycle intermediate that improves cellular energy and helps delay muscle fatigue by reducing lactic acid buildup in muscles. This increases endurance and allows you to perform longer before that burning sensation sets in.

Chelated Minerals

Intralyte also features chelated forms of calcium and magnesium, which are highly bioavailable and easily absorbed.

Who Should Use Intralyte?

I haven’t had any problems during my workout with staying hydrated, so this isn’t something that I really felt made a big difference for me.

However, if you’re an endurance athlete or prone to activities that can cause cramping or dehydration, Intralyte is going to make a big difference for you.

Taste, Price, and Availability

Intralyte is currently only available in a lemon lime flavor. A 30 serving container can be purchased at a handful of online retailers for anywhere between $25.99-$31.99. I did feel like the lemon lime flavor was refreshing, and enjoyed drinking it during my workouts.

Intralyte mixes very well in any kind of shaker bottle.

Intralyte Final Thoughts

With few electrolyte products to choose from, Intralyte will get the job done for you if you need something to help increase energy and help with electrolyte replenishment.
